At our national office in Langdon Down Centre at the beginning of September, we had a positive meeting with Gillian Bird, our services director at DSA, our local MP, Munira Wilson, and one of our WorkFit candidates, Celia, to discuss DSA work and priorities, including the SEND crisis and disability employment.
James has worked at the Royal Mail sorting office in Poole for almost 6 months. He proudly wears his uniform and gets on well with his colleagues. He is really thriving in his role.
Philip is celebrating his 1st anniversary as a back-of-house operative at Newcastle Football Club with Sodexo Live. He was thrilled to reach this milestone and received a certificate and a medal for his hard work and dedication. Well done, Philip!
Sarah Clark, our WorkFit Officer in the South West, will climb Kilimanjaro in January, 2025 to raise money for the DSA. Her weekends are spent fundraising and trying to fit time in for her training. She has also reached 50% of her fundraising goal. This is a huge challenge to undertake, and we wish her the very best of luck at all stages. Go Sarah! https://downssyndrome.enthuse.com/pf/sarah-clarkkilimanjaro
