We are honoured to announce that the National Lottery Community Fund has awarded funding to DSA for three years! We are grateful to the National Lottery for awarding three years’ funding for our WorkFit programme, which means that hundreds more people who have Down’s syndrome will be supported to use their abilities to develop professionally and personally through employment and that the number of experienced and confident employers will continue to grow.

To celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities on the 3rd of December, WorkFit was invited to LSEG for the Close of Market event, preceded by a panel discussion on inclusive employment chaired by Akua Opong and her colleagues.
In November, WorkFit attended an event at Tesco Head Office in Welwyn Garden City, again for the International Day of People with Disabilities Event. Simon James, one of our WorkFit Officers, filmed a segment for a Tesco film that featured Charlotte, Michael, and Charlotte, all of whom work with Tesco at the head office or in stores.
Jake has worked at The Blue Bicycle Cafe in Neston for almost three years. Jake and his colleague Luke were getting in the festive spirit for Christmas Jumper Day.
WorkFit was shared by MP Jen Craft in the Disability History Month debate in Westminster Hall in December as an example of best practices in supported employment.
