We were delighted that Christie’s exhibited photographs from our My Perspective 2024 competition during Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week and World Down Syndrome Day. A big thank you to Toby Monk, Gracie Bloom, and Thomas Richardson for all their hard work in bringing the exhibition to life. The display included a shortlisted photograph by Daniel, The London Marathon. Members of the Down’s Syndrome Association team, including Chris, Lydia, and Hannah, visited the exhibition to show their support.
In March, we also hosted a stand at Portcullis House to raise awareness of World Down Syndrome Day, Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week, and the work of the Down’s Syndrome Association, including our WorkFit programme. Thanks to Chris Rees, Lydia Herridge Ishak, Alison Thwaite and Safiya for their excellent work on the stand.
Congratulations to Tanzie, who was named Employee of the Month for February. Her confidence has grown significantly—she is now using store devices independently, with support available if needed. This is a brilliant achievement and well deserved.
We’re hugely grateful to the Craft Guild of Chefs for their continued support of people who have Down’s syndrome in the food industry and for raising more than £10,000 at their Chairman’s Charity Dinner. Four WorkFit candidates attended the event, all in permanent paid employment in the food industry. Harry and Brogan supported the team in the kitchen, while Hanaa and Alban took on front of house roles. Thank you to everyone involved for their incredible generosity and support.

Gary completed his six-month probation and is now officially employed by Savills. We’re so pleased to share this brilliant news and celebrate his success.
Thank you to all of our employers for their continued support of our WorkFit programme, and good luck to everyone starting new roles this month.
