My name is Tom.
I work as a Laboratory Assistant at the Environment Agency’s National Laboratory Service in Devon.
I travel by bus and train and then walk to get to work.
I wear special clothes and glasses at work to keep me safe.
In the laboratory I get rid of water samples that aren’t needed anymore and recycle different plastics.
It’s great to be working here.
In March 2018 I spoke at the United Nations in New York about my job at the World Down Syndrome Day Conference.
In June 2018 I won the Significant Achievement Award at the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Annual Awards.
